How to Join
All first time students interested in classes are invited to take a Complementary Introductory Class or 50% reduction on a one-hour Postural Assessment.
Please email us at Danielle@secondwind.net and we will respond within 24-hours to help set up a time that is convenient for you.
CLASSES: Second Wind's classes are pre-registered sessions scheduled according to our four seasons. Each class session is different in length depending on the particular season so our fall session is 14 weeks while our summer session is 8 weeks.
All classes hold a maximum of four (4) students. They are more like a semi-private group rather than a typical large group class. Limiting the number of participants ensures quality and individual attention. After experimenting for eleven years and three different locations, Second Wind has mastered the perfect instructional format that offers the superior training and service we are committed to delivering.
With a few exceptions, Second Wind classes are 90 minutes in length to maximize the benefits of the work and your time-commitment. They combine both the Pilates Mat and Reformer (equipment) training and are referred to as COMBO classes (i.e. combining mat and reformer).
Classes are offered mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends, seven days a week. Our effective class make-up system ensures that if you miss your regular class(es), you can make it up at a more convenient time.
CLASS REGISTRATION TAKES PLACE BY PHONE, EMAIL OR IN PERSON: All students who want to join the studio after the start date of a particular class session can register mid-term for the remaining classes of the session so you can start your training at any time. All registration for Classes and Privates take place by phone, email or in person.
PRIVATE SESSIONS: Private one-on-one sessions are scheduled seven days weekly according to the particular availability of each client.
All private sessions begin with a postural assessment used as a baseline for how we will work with our client. Designed for everyone, they are especially useful for clients who are experiencing acute or chronic pain.
A postural assessment summarized for you so that you can clearly understand what we see, can bring you huge insight into what your body really needs to be healthy and happy!
