Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy (PRYT)
Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy (PRYT) is a one-on-one 90-minute session that combines classical yoga, bodywork techniques and mind-body psychology to help clients safely explore, release and heal emotional and/or physical pain, including chronic and acute injuries and tension.
Sessions use assisted yoga postures, movement and full-body stretches facilitated by the practitioner through the use of her hands, straps, bolsters and/or blankets. Combining non-directive dialogue with the uniquely holistic approach to healing that underlies the deep intention of Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, clients are given the opportunity to go deeply into yoga postures and stretches to help them access their inner voice and understanding about their own bodies and lives.
There are many opportunities in life to ask for advice or to follow directives and guidance from outside. There are fewer structures that encourage us to learn to listen from within and to reconnect to our own personal wisdom.
Lasting and profound change in the direction of your choice requires action that expresses who you really are. With the support of PRYT, previously confused issues, chatter and fear can dissipate. Motivation, clear intention and choice can emerge so that a new kind of road unfolds from within that you can follow with ease and grace.
PRYT is a client-centered session that unfolds in three parts:
- Guided meditation focusing on the breath to allow you to go quietly in your body and self as your guide for the entire session.
- With practitioner support, you enter into movement, yoga postures and stretches in order to connect to deep listening, your teacher within.
- Integration: At the end of the session, you have the opportunity to look back to see what stood out for you to help you integrate discoveries and to create real change in your life in the direction of your choice.
PRYT assists clients with body pain and injury, professional and family issues, life-changes, loss, and milestones as well as physical, emotional and mental stress that may manifest as depression and/or chronic pain restricting positive direction in your life.
