Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy (PRYT)
Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy (PRYT) is a one-on-one 90-minute session that combines classical yoga, bodywork techniques and contemporary psychology to help clients safely explore, release and heal physical and/or emotional pain, including chronic and acute injuries and stress related tension and pain.
The practitioner assists the client with yoga postures, movements, and full-body stretches through the use of hands, straps, bolsters and/or blankets. Combining non-directive dialogue with the uniquely holistic approach to healing that underlies the deep intention of Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, clients are given the opportunity to go deeply into yoga postures and stretches to help them access their inner voice and understanding about their own bodies and lives.
There are many opportunities in life to ask for advice or to follow directives and guidance from outside. There are fewer structures that encourage us to listen from within in order to connect to our inner wisdom.
Lasting and profound change and incentive comes from one's own personal truth and deep knowing so that right action can follow. With the support of PRYT, previously confused issues, chatter, and fear can dissipate so that the clarity of your inner voice can enable you to make choices and decisions that are right for you. As intuition, personal motivation, and inner certainty emerge, a new kind of road can unfold from within, one you can follow with grace and ease.
PRYT is a client-centered session that unfolds in three parts:
- Guided meditation focuses on the breath to allow you to go quietly tune in to your body and self as your guide for the entire session.
- With practitioner support, you enter into movement, yoga postures and stretches in order to connect to deeply to your body towards learning how to listen to your own teacher within.
- Integration: At the end of the session, you have the opportunity to look back to see what stood out in terms of its importance to your own life and situation at hand to help you integrate the discoveries for creating real change in your life in the direction of your choice.
PRYT assists clients with body pain and injury, professional and family issues, life-changes, loss, and milestones, as well as physical, emotional and mental stressor that may manifest as depression and/or chronic pain, together restricting positive choices and direction in your life.
