Sara Yamada, Manager and Senior Instructor

Sara Yamada-Johnson is certified in The Pilates Method and Integrated Movement Therapies (IMT)® through Second Wind Pilates Plus®. Her previous work experience includes working with physically and mentally disabled children. Sara has a background in gymnastics and rock climbing and has recently completed a one-year Hatha Yoga Certification through Whispering Winds Yoga.

Sara is also a Certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst (CMA) through the Laban Institute of Movement Studies (LIMS) in New York. Sara particularly enjoys the rehabilitative side of Pilates and loves to help people discover the world of movement. Having been with the company for over six years, Sara is also the Co- Certification Director of Second Wind's Teacher-Training program.

Janet Douris-Stringer

Janet is a Certified Second Wind® Pilates Instructor as well and an Integrated Movement Therapies (IMT)® practitioner. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer and Hatha Yoga instructor through Whispering Winds Yoga. Together with her background in Kinesiology, Janet has been running a home-based business for eight years and is a senior Pilates and Yoga instructor at Second Wind®. Janet's passions include long distance running having finished within the top quarter of both the Toronto and Mississauga Half Marathons.

Helen Holtham

Helen is a mother of two girls who tries to say hello or smile to almost everyone she meets, even strangers on the street! Helen started working in the fitness industry some 18 years ago as aerobics and water fitness instructor. She is certified through Second Wind® and has been teaching Pilates for the last four years.

Meaghan O'Neill

Meaghan O'Neill has been a competitive figure skater since the age of 10 and National Synchronized Skating team member from 2001-2007. Meaghan is also a certified Pilates and Integrated Movement Therapies (IMT)® instructor through Second Wind and figure skating coach to boot!

Marlene Hope

As a graduate of Ryerson's Fashion Design, Marlene worked in the clothing industry in retail and design for many years. She is now an associate Broker with ReMax Realty and mother of three amazing children. In addition to her training in Pilates, Marlene is also a personal trainer through CanFitPro and loves to integrate resistance training with the postural and technical proficiency that Pilates offers.

Kimberley Jelly, BHSc.P.T, ART, CAFCI

Kim is a registered physiotherapist who graduated with a Bachelor of Health Sciences Degree in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. She has over 20 years experience but has spent the last 17 years working in her specialty of orthopaedics and sports injuries. Kim's assessment and treatment rely heavily on biomechanical analysis as she believes that to truly correct a problem you must address the source of the injury not just the symptoms. She has completed many post-graduate courses and is certified in active release therapy(ART) and acupuncture. Kim is also certified in pilates and IMT.

Elaine McGrath

I am 46 years old, a mother of two teenagers and a wife. I graduated in 1987 with a Bachelor of administration from HEC (in MTL). I have stayed home to raise my children until I discovered Pilates over 4 years ago. There I found a revelation. I connected with myself like never before. Shortly after I decided to become certified through Second Wind Pilates Plus® and start teaching. I absolutely love my job, I make people feel great and it empowers me. I know I will be doing Pilates for the rest of my life...Voila!

Linda Sellers

Linda is a retired teacher and former gymnast who competed provincially. Linda has taken to Pilates and Integrated Movement Therapies like a fish jumping in water! She particularly loves working with students who have an interest in learning more about anatomy, alignment and posture to help them apply Pilates principles into their everyday life and movement. Linda is a mom of two children and married to her wonderful husband Edward who team up to practice tai chi together at the Canadian Tai Chi Society.

Jane Coburn

Jane is a mother of three grown children. She first came to Second Wind as a student 6 years ago for some "me" time. In discovering the difference Pilates made to both her physical and mental well being she decided to pursue instructor certification and has recently begun teaching at the studio.
Over the course of her life, Jane has worked as a medical lab technologist, full time mom, school bus driver, retail manager, personal assistant and caregiver to her elderly mother. She brings both enthusiasm and caring to her teaching. Jane knows first hand the benefits that proper posture, flexibility and mobility can make in your life as you age.
