Learn how to practice yoga regularly in your personal 'home' environment, according to your own schedule and convenience. Imagine, even when you think you have no time to spare - 10 minutes, 25 minutes, 45 minutes – it is actually enough time to shift your life towards health and peace of body and mind! Each of these time options are powerfully effective for transforming body, mind, spirit, discipline, and lifestyle. Learn how to create a series of balanced yoga postures that can stay the same or be changed up according to the day, available time or needs of your body, each day you practice. Easy and powerful!
RESTORATIVE YOGA for MENOPAUSE with YUKA
In this workshop, you explore a series of Restorative yoga poses, which stimulate the body to produce a balance of hormones that calm the nervous system and reduce fatigue. With the support of bolsters, blocks and blankets, students rest in poses for 5 to 20 minutes allowing the body and mind to open gently and gradually. This series is designed so that you can relax and rest deeply. The good news: you can do it at home too! No experience required.
MEDITATION with LANEE
Physical practice is designed to support your ability to be deeply at peace within, content in the Now. Although a simple desire, quieting the mind can be challenging yet rewarding. AN INTRODUCTION TO THE CHAKRAS with JANET
Join Janet as she takes you through a journey of Yoga poses, breath work, meditation, and chakra activation to help you learn new ways of relating to yourself and the world around you with conscious and compassionate awareness. Creating new habits or ways of being in the world involves becoming friends with a little place called the "meditation cushion!" A supportive way of making 'you', your own best friend.
STRENGTHEN YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM with YUKA
We all know that many diseases are stress-related, if not stress-induced! The health of our immune system depends on the proper circulation of immune cells and a balanced central nervous system. We will practice a series of gentle yoga poses designed to clear the mind, lift the spirit, increase circulation, and stimulate our nervous and endocrine systems - all towards tuning and strengthening our body, mind and heart!
PRANAYAMA with LANEE
Our breath, as the breath-of-life, is the cosmic life force responsible for keeping us alive. In yoga, it is known as Pranayama, a central part of ancient yoga traditions. This workshop offers specific and easy to learn breathing exercises to help expand or 'stretch' out our life force (prana) by controlling, deepening, and calming respiration. Learn how pranayama practices connect you more deeply to your body, mind and emotions, helping bring balanced energy and conscious awareness.
TWISTS with JANET
Let's twist! Come to this workshop to enjoy all the benefits of rotating your spine, wringing out your tissues, and massaging your organs - a cleansing process vital to a healthy spine. You are only as young as your spine is vital! Twist away tension, relax muscles and flush fresh blood and nutrients into your spine! Called the "squeeze and soak method" by B.K.S. Inyenger, this training will deepen your understanding and practice of safe twisting asanas, literally from the inside out.
CHAIR YOGA FOR HIPS, SHOULDERS AND THE SPINE with YUKA and Janet
your partner and support will enable you to hold poses longer, with proper alignment and increased ease. This workshop focuses on hip and shoulder openers, opening the spine. These asanas require holding poses for longer periods of time in order to receive maximum benefit. Your chair-as-partner also presents less experienced students with the opportunity to challenge themselves safely.
CHAIR YOGA WORKSHOP
Explore how a simple tool such as a chair can help deepen your connection to muscular engagement, functional stretching, and whole-body alignment. Come discover how our chair series will enable you to access your body more readily for all sitting, standing and lying poses.
